Fifteen years on job sites, not behind a desk.
Barj started in construction over 15 years ago, working his way up through site supervision before moving into full-scale construction management. In that time, he’s managed everything from custom single-family homes and multi-family residential builds to commercial tenant improvements and industrial warehouse projects across Metro Vancouver.
He started his own practice after seeing the same problem repeat itself on project after project: owners hiring general contractors and assuming someone was watching their interests, only to discover — usually mid-build — that no one was. Barj built his firm around a simple idea: the construction manager should work for the owner, and only the owner. No divided loyalties, no hidden markups, no surprises at closeout.
That philosophy still shapes how he runs every project today — direct communication, honest numbers, and a standard of care he’d want if it were his own build.
